Missions

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.” —Matthew 28:19–20

The call of every Christian - sharing the Good News of salvation—is the basis for all that we do at Beallwood. Regardless of other life tasks, our primary work is to fulfill the Great Commission wherever God places us. In our homes, our neighborhoods and workplaces, and wherever we go in the community, we are called to serve. Our Missions Ministry at Beallwood responds to three strands of the Great Commission: evangelism (a passion for the lost), discipleship (spiritual multiplication) and reaching out to the poor. God asks only that we make ourselves available to Him.

We use Acts 1:8 as a pattern - seeking to be involved in Jerusalem (our hometown), Judea and Samaria (our region and nation), and to the ends of the earth (Internationally).

Jerusalem

We are involved in providing financial and volunteer help with Mission Columbus, a partnership of local Baptist Churches here in Columbus.  We also are involved in Adult Literacy Programs and teaching English as a Second Language as we partner with International Friendship Ministries.

Judea and Samaria

We have held partnerships with Watauga Baptists (Tennessee), with churches in Mississippi and Kentucky, and have been involved in Brooklyn, New York.  In the past, we have done:

Backyard Bible Clubs, Nursing Home Ministry, Block Parties, VBS,
Construction/home repair (Hurricane repair, tornado repair),
Evangelistic efforts, publicity, and other community service activities.

The Ends of the Earth

We have partnerships in Mexico and Taiwan.  Long term plans are being prayerfully considered for other areas around the world.  We maintain communication with personnel serving worldwide, and support personnel in Europe and Africa.  Our primary desire is to be evangelistic in our trips, proclaiming the excellencies of Christ abroad.

We Prayerfully and Financially support IMB causes and a God-Called missionary couple from our church, Wayne and Roni Ragan, serving in Taiwan.
